Submitting Images to Exhibitions

 

Guidelines for Submitting Digital Images

APAC uses built in software tools on our website provided by PhotoPursuits.com.Images can be uploaded directly to Exhibitions/Competitions from your computer OR you can choose images that you have already uploaded into your “My Image Gallery” section of the website.

 

Submit Images Directly From Your Computer.

You must be logged into the APAC website to be enable submitting.

 

  1. Navigate under the Competitions menu and select “Submit Images to a Competition – all the Competitions that you are eligible to submit images to will be listed along with their details.
  2. Click the “Select” button next to the competition to which you wish to submit. This will open up a page with further details of the competition and reveal the submission buttons.
  3. Click the “Upload Images into the Competition” button. This will take you to the “Upload Images” Page.
  4. Click the “Select” button. This will reveal a window with your computer’s file system that you can use to navigate to where you have stored your image file on your computer.
  5. Find your image file, select it and click “Choose”. You will be returned to the “Upload Images” page where you will see your image filename with an orange or green dot next to it. If the dot is orange, wait until it turns green.
  6. Click the “Save Images and Proceed to Edit Page” button. This will bring you to the “Edit New Images” page. At this point your image has been saved in your Image Library.
  7. Edit the title of the image here if you want it to be different than the name of the image file you uploaded.
  8. Choose the Competition Level (Category) from the drop down box.
  9. Click “Save any changes and return to the original page”.

 

Submit Images from your Image Library on the Website

You must be logged into the APAC website to be enable submitting.

 

  1. Navigate under the Competitions menu and select “Submit Images to a Competition – all the Competitions that you are eligible to submit images to will be listed along with their details.
  2. Click the “Select” button next to the competition to which you wish to submit. This will open up a page with further details of the competition and reveal the submission buttons.
  3. Click the “Add Images from my Image Library” button. This will take you to the “Upload Images” Page. You will see the Image Library search function. If you need to change the search criteria to find a particularly image you can do that here.
  4. Click the “Search for Images” button to find your image.
  5. Locate the image you wish to submit and click on the “Selected” radio box to select the image for submission.
  6. Click the “Finished Marking Desired Images” button. This will return you to the “Submit Image to Competition” page and you will see any images you have entered into the selected competition at the bottom of the page.
  7. Locate and click the “Edit” button under the Image Id under the thumbnail of your image.
  8. Select the desired Category from the dropdown menu. Once selected this will automatically save the category you have selected with that image.

Guidelines for Submitting Print Images

Prints must be single matted with backing and securely attached. Only black or white mattes are permitted and must be no larger than 16x20 inches. Print sizes must fit within the matte and be no smaller than 5x7 inches.
