That’s really where the work of the artist begins” – Lewis Baltz Be the Curator of Your Own Work A curator manages artwork, or collections, or flora and fauna or?  Who curates your work? Who builds your portfolio, decides on the right images for the right audience? Just like a magazine editor or a gallery curator, you need to be actively choosing the photographs you publish, whether for competition, or for publication, or social media. Join me for a look at how you might curate your own work.  Ø Review of Digital Asset Management or saving and cataloguing  Ø Culling and choosing your photographs Ø Selecting and preparing specific photographs and portfolios for competition, publication for print, social media, and websites Ø Managing your collection _________________________________________________________________ Sheena Wilkie is an enthusiastic participant in the photography community. A passionate artist, an award-winning photographer, she enjoys sharing her knowledge and expertise with others. Wilkie is also an experienced and skilled public speaker and instructor, giving presentations and teaching adults for over thirty years. Sheena is currently the Web Manager for CAPA.ca and the former Editor-in-Chief of Canadian Camera Magazine. A certified CAPA judge, Sheena has been awarded a Fellowship and Honorary lifetime membership in the Canadian Association for Photographic Art.  After twenty years as a commercial portrait artist Sheena has moved to Sumas Mountain in the Fraser Valley where she is pursuing her own personal art projects and playing piano.
